The Truro Historical Society recently received a much-needed website redesign that brings new life to its online presence while honoring the town’s rich history.
The previous website had served the organization for many years, but over time it had become cluttered, outdated, and difficult to navigate. Important information about exhibits, programs, and historical resources was often hard to find, making it challenging for visitors to explore everything the society has to offer.
At the same time, the organization had recently completed a brand refresh, including a new logo. This created the perfect opportunity to redesign the website so that the visual identity and digital experience worked together seamlessly.
Designing Around the New Brand
The new logo became the inspiration for the entire redesign. We incorporated the logo’s colors and stylistic elements throughout the site, creating a cohesive and recognizable look. Soft color tones were used to maintain a welcoming feel while still reflecting the heritage and character of Truro.
The goal was to strike a balance between modern design and historical storytelling. Clean layouts, improved typography, and thoughtful spacing help the historical content stand out without overwhelming visitors.

One of the biggest priorities of the redesign was reorganization. The new website structure makes it easier for visitors to find information about:
