If your website collects any visitor information, including statistic tracking, you need to comply. Almost every business or organization needs to comply due to the large number of new consumer protection regulations.

Fortunately, there are many templates and services available online that will help guide you in creating a privacy policy that fits you business. Take your time to review each component of your user information collection, and make certain the policy addresses how you handle, store and if applicable, share that information.
WHERE SHOULD IT GO?
Typically privacy policies are linked in the footer, or bottom of every page on your website. It should also be prominently linked next to any newsletter, ecommerce feature or information collection form.
